Matthew Rieger, president and CEO of Housing Trust Group (HTG), has been elected to the board of directors of the Coalition of Affordable Housing Providers.
The Coalition of Affordable Housing Providers is a strategic alliance of developers and professional services providers in Florida, designed to advocate legislative initiatives, promote the affordable housing industry through networking and disseminating information, and act as a liaison to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation to promote the private sector interests in affordable housing development in Florida.
“I am honored to serve on the CAHP board of directors at such a critical time, when the need for affordable housing in Florida is direr than ever, and sources of funding for affordable housing are at risk,” Rieger said. “I look forward to working alongside my fellow board members on behalf of CAHP’s membership to advocate for expanded access to and availability of affordable housing in Florida.”
HTG is an award-winning, full-service developer of multifamily residential communities with residential developments across Florida, the Southeastern U.S. and Arizona. Its two most recently completed communities — Wagner Creek and Courtside Apartments — delivered over 150 new affordable apartments to working families in downtown Miami.
HTG has developed nearly 6,000 units of multifamily housing, including affordable, workforce, student housing, and market-rate for rent and for sale communities.
