One of the largest Marilyn Monroe exhibitions in West Miami-Dade will open on Friday, November 3, 2017. A charity event benefiting women struggles. Marilyn is known for her breathtaking beauty, acting talent, and her powerful Hollywood persona that challenged women’s cultural norms in the 1950s. Frames USA & Art will host a series of her photographs from 1926 to 1962 and these will be available for purchase and immediate framing.
Despite Marilyn Monroe’s beauty and fame, she had insecurities and struggles highly attributed to a troublesome past. As an infant, Marilyn was abandoned by an absent father and a mother that was in and out of psychiatric institutions. She lived in an orphanage and several foster homes where she was allegedly sexually abused.
For this exhibition, Frames USA & Art Gallery has partnered with Footprints Foundation, an international charity, based in Miami, Florida. Around the world, millions of young women suffer from female genital mutilation and die during pregnancy or childbirth. This 501c charity supports the end of female genital mutilation, child marriages, and the rights of women to give birth without risking their lives.
