In the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, there is a critical need to replenish the local blood supply. OneBlood, a local not-for-profit blood center, hosted a blood and platelet drive on Monday, September 25th at Florida Medical Center. Hospital CEO, Trey Abshier and COO, Matt Garner were happy to do their part and donate. Donors received a free movie ticket or T-shirt, a wellness checkup of blood pressure, pulse, temperature and iron count, including a cholesterol screening, courtesy of OneBlood.
