Gunners Mate Second Class Frank Rivas, from Miami, assigned to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48), holds his child after returning to Commander, Fleet Activities Sasebo (Japan) following the completion of a five-month deployment in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. The deployment included several port visits to Australia, Guam and Japan.
