Litigation and Business attorney Rachel A. Camber, Of Counsel, with the law firm of Markowitz Ringel Trusty + Hartog, has been honored with a 2018 AXA Advisors Businesswomen of the Year Award in the Corporate Leader category from the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce.
Camber was recognized for demonstrating excellence in her profession, community involvement and commitment to serving as a role model for women.
Camber has a diverse practice in both transactional and litigation matters to prevent, negotiate, settle and litigate disputes. She represents corporations and individuals in contract disputes, commercial litigation, creditors’ rights issues, leasing issues, bond claims, construction lien law issues, tax lien sale issues, banking litigation, real property litigation, and general corporate matters. Her transactional practice includes drafting corporate documents including stock purchase agreements, partnership agreements, commercial lease agreements, and commercial loan documentation.
Camber currently is the president of the Dave & Mary Alper Jewish Community Center (JCC) with a mission to preserve and strengthen the community by providing programs and services that are rooted in and promote Jewish values, ethics and traditions. The Alper JCC provides educational, cultural arts and fitness programming for the community, as well as a broad range of services to persons with special needs and the elderly.
Her other community involvement includes being a member of the board of directors of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, and a supporter of cultural arts. She is a member of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers and South Miami Kendall Bar Association.
Camber also is a member the Arts, Entertainment and Sports Law Section and the Real Property Trust and Estates Section of The Florida Bar, and is admitted to practice in Florida and the District of Columbia.
She received her Juris Doctorate from Washington University in St. Louis and her BA from Tulane University.
