Basel House Mural Festival brings together street artists from all over the world to create a one-of-a-kind canvas experience. For the sixth edition of Basel House, SWARM presents the free festival with over 40 large-scale murals and art installations alongside a vendor village with 100-plus arts, crafts, and lifestyle brand pop-up shops.
Basel House will be the only location where eclectic music, innovative unique vendors, and new-age art installations from across the globe come together to create an unparalleled experience.
Basel House will feature mural projects that span across six city blocks in Miami’s Wynwood Art District centered around the iconic RC Cola Plant at 550 NW 24 St.
Guests will get the chance to watch all the unique art live as it happens.
If getting involved in the art is something that sparks your interest, take part in interactive art-making and graffiti workshops, join daily Basel House mural tours led by Miami’s Best Graffiti Guide, and explore the Monster Energy Clubhouse.
There will be a 55-foot vertical ramp showcasing skateboarders and bmx riders, as well as a pop-up barber shop, beatboy dancers, and a 90-foot mural by the godfather of the modern graffiti movement, artist Kelly Graval, known as RISK.
Stroll the vendor village, pick up official festival merchandise by Miami street fashion brand DADE Wear, and don’t miss the Mi Campo Tequila pop up shop with cool swag designed by Mexican Artist Raul Urias. EFFEN Vodka will continue its support of Wynwood’s culture scene with a showcase of artworks created live at the Second Saturday Wynwood Art Walk Block Party.
Exhibiting Miami artists include Adrian Avila, Aquarela, Atomik, Claudia Bianca, Diana Conteras, GG Artwork, Golden, Jenny Perez, Kazilla, Luis Valle.
Looking for something different? Artist Jason Tetlak, Guinness World Record holder for largest 3D painting, brings his “red reveal” technique to Wynwood for the first time at Basel House. Pick up decoder glasses at the RXBAR activation to reveal it’s hidden message.
Rest assured that no one will go hungry with over 20 food vendors on site featuring Miami’s best food trucks and OMG Instagram-worthy desserts.
While munching on delectable bites, chill with a craft cocktail and games in the Jameon Art Lounge or grab a cold brew in the Heineken Beer Garden to catch your breath and regain some energy for what’s to come at night. As the sun sets and the night begins, the event will come alive with surprise guest deejays and video projection mapped mural installations powered by BLINK Cincinnati, one of the largest light, art and projection mapping events in the nation.
Saturday night, guests will also get to witness the Paint Club live graffiti and Illustration battle presented by RXBAR and vote for the winning team.
Basel House will be open for three days during Miami Art Basel — Friday, Dec. 7, from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m.; Saturday, Dec. 8, from 1 p.m. to 2 a.m., and Sunday, Dec. 9, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
