Jorge Guerra, president and CEO of Real Estate Sales Force (RESF), has the distinction of being born in the boom and raised in the crash giving Jorge a great prospective.

Much like the market during his early years, it was slow going in school until he started at Christopher Columbus High School where it was discovered he had an auditory comprehension challenge. Once that was diagnosed, it all came together for Guerra.

After graduation, he went on the Barry University in hopes of attaining a Doctorate in Medicine but ended up finding his passion as a real estate entrepreneur, like his father.

Guerra, a born leader with an engaging personality, is a highly regarded and dynamic keynote speaker who keeps on top of emerging issues and trends that impact the real estate landscape. He started from the ground up as an agent, and later became the founder and owner of a brokerage firm that has 450 agents and four offices.

While Guerra supports his alma mater and other NPO’s monetarily, he also give of his time and talent as a mentor and speaker.

He is currently serving as the 2018 president of the Miami Association of Realtor’s Residential Board of Governors, as vice chair of the 2018 Florida Top 50 in addition to being the 2018 chair of the National Association of Realtor’s Emerging Business and Technology Forum.

As involved as he is in his professional association’s, Guerra mentors on a regular basis from staff to students his outreach through RESF Cares allows him numerous ways to help the community. From the time he was in elementary school at St. Timothy’s and then at Christopher Columbus (Class of 1996), community service was encouraged and expected. That was a habit ingrained in him that has led to a pattern of giving of his time, talent and treasure like few others.

Guerra shares his passion for giving back through his firm’s RESF Cares “12 Months of Giving” initiative inspiring agents to give back to their community and involve themselves with a greater cause. He also shares his industry knowledge with the Latin Builder’s Association Charter School Academy and has even enlisted a Summer Internship program to inspire young students to pursue a career in the real estate arena. His list of outreach efforts includes supporting his agents’ philanthropic efforts, drives for disaster relief, and more.

He also is an annual sponsor for the Women’s Council of Realtor’s Miami-Date Chapter’s Wing-It for a Cause event, benefiting Silent Angels, a charitable organization composed of Realtors for the purpose of providing funds, supplies and services to individuals who are making a determined effort yet are financially needy or otherwise distressed.

Guerra is married to his beautiful wife, Dinorah, who is an instrumental part of RESF, and is blessed with two great children, Dominic and Alec.

A graduate of the University of Florida with a major in Spanish, Burns has an extensive background in advertising, marketing and reciprocal trade, travel , non profit consulting and management. Before joining Miami's Community Newspapers as a columnist and marketing specialist, Gloria was the Executive Director of the Jr. Orange Bowl Committee (6 yrs.) and first Executive Director of the Coral Gables Community Foundation (14 yrs.) and the Pinecrest Community Foundation (1 ½ yrs) . Burns' volunteer activities led her to become a columnist for Community Newspapers writing Gloria’s Gab, that focuses on the non-profit activity, and a host of an online show, Gloria's Gab LIVE. Gloria serves the board of the Rotary Club of Coral Gables as Civic and Charity Chair, and is involved in the club's International Committee. She is an active Life Member of the Jr. Orange Bowl Committee and is Secretary of the Merrick Festival. She serves on the board of directors of the Coral Gables Woman' Club as Publicity Chair and also coordinates the club's monthly fundraiser for various charities with Gringo Bingo at Clutch Burger. In addition, Gloria participates in numerous other charitable events and is a member of the Business Forum Group, Profit Inc., the Greater Miami Festival & Events Association and the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce. In other volunteer activity, Gloria helps Miami Christian School with fund-raising and PR; is an Ambassador and volunteers for events for A Safe Haven for Newborns. She is an active member of the Music Ministry at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where she enjoys singing in the choir every weekend.
