The Miami-Dade County League of Cities donated turkeys and Cutler Bay Policing Unit worked with Cornerstone Church to give families in need a special gift for Thanksgiving.
Cornerstone Church has a pantry that helps roughly 300 families twice a month and volunteers prepared 1,000 meals on Thanksgiving. For people who couldn’t get out, meals were delivered to them.
The League of Cities represents 34 municipalities in Miami-Dade County. Cornerstone Church, located at 20740 Old Cutler Rd., was started in 2015 through the merger of two long-standing congregations — Perrine-Peters United Methodist Church and Cutler Ridge United Methodist Church.
