The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County continues the 11th season of its free Family Fest series with Miami City Ballet’s Community Engagement program, which offers children and families an interactive, behind-the-scenes look at the art of ballet.
Join Miami City Ballet (MCB) on Mar. 30. At 2 p.m., for the enchanting first act of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Shakespeare’s timeless tale of love and magic, reality and illusion. With a fairytale cast (including MCB’s breathtaking dancers, children and vocalists), Felix Mendelssohn’s glorious music, along with spectacular sets and costumes by acclaimed artist Michele Oka Doner, A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a dazzling spectacle for families and audiences of all ages.
MCB’s Community Engagement programing provides South Florida families with the opportunity to explore ballet. The programming is engaging and exciting for all ages and is performed by an ensemble composed of top-level students in the Pre-Professional Division of The MCB School.
Admission to Family Fest is free. First-Access Passes, which give guests early access to general admission seating, can be reserved for the performance.
