SR 836/Dolphin Expressway­­­

Ramp Closures

The entrance ramps to westbound SR 836 from northbound and southbound NW 27^th Avenue will be closed for roadway restoration on Sunday, April 20, Monday, April 21 and Thursday, April 23 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night and Friday, April 24 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Drivers should follow posted detour signs. Detours:

Drivers going northbound on NW 27^th Avenue can:

• Turn left onto NW 14^th Street
• Turn right onto NW 42^nd Avenue/LeJeune Road
• Take entrance to westbound SR 836 on right

Drivers going southbound on NW 27^th Avenue can:

• Turn right onto NW 7^th Street
• Turn right onto NW 42^nd Avenue/LeJeune Road
• Take entrance to westbound SR 836 on right

Ramp Closure

The westbound SR 836 exit ramp to NW 37^th Avenue will be closed for roadway restoration on Sunday, April 20 through Thursday, April 23 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night and Friday, April 24 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.  Drivers should follow posted detour signs. Detour:

• Take exit to NW 42^nd Avenue/LeJeune Road on right
• Turn right onto NW 42^nd Avenue/LeJeune Road
• Take entrance to MIA on right
• Stay right to access NW 25^th Street and turn right
• Continue on NW 25^th Street to access NW 37^th Avenue

Ramp Closure

The entrance ramp to westbound SR 836 from northbound NW 42^nd Avenue/LeJeune Road will be closed for roadway restoration on Thursday, April 23 and Friday, April 24 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night. Drivers should follow posted detour signs. Detours:

• Turn left onto NW 7^th Street
• Turn right onto NW 57^th Avenue
• Take entrance to westbound SR 836 on left

OR

• Turn left onto NW 14^th Street
• Turn left onto NW 43^rd Place
• Turn right onto NW 13^th Street
• Turn left onto NW 45^th Avenue
• Take entrance to westbound SR 836 on right

Ramp Closure

The entrance ramp to eastbound SR 836 from NW 27^th Avenue will be closed for roadway restoration on Wednesday, April 22 and Thursday, April 23 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night. Drivers should follow posted detour signs. Detours:

Drivers going northbound on NW 27^th Avenue can:

• Turn right on NW 20^th Street
• Turn right on NW 12^th Avenue
• Take entrance to eastbound SR 836 on right

Drivers going southbound on NW 27^th Avenue can:

• Turn left on NW 7^th Street
• Turn left on NW 12^th Avenue
• Take entrance to eastbound SR 836 on right

Ramp Closure

The eastbound SR 836 exit ramp to NW 27^th Avenue will be closed for roadway restoration on Wednesday, April 22 and Thursday, April 23 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night. Drivers should follow posted detour signs. Detour:

• Continue eastbound on SR 836

• Take exit to southbound NW 17^th Avenue
• Turn right on NW 7^th Street
• Continue on NW 7^th Street to access NW 27^th Avenue

Ramp Reduction

The left lane on the westbound SR 836 exit ramp to NW 37^th Avenue will be closed for roadway restoration on Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night.

Ramp Reduction

A single lane on the eastbound SR 836 entrance ramp from NW 87^th Avenue will be closed for drainage improvements on Thursday, April 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Ramp Reduction

A single lane on the westbound collector and distributor road coming from northbound and southbound SR 826/Palmetto Expressway will be closed for drainage inspection on Monday, April 20 through Thursday, April 23 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.

Ramp Reduction

A single lane on the westbound SR 836 exit to NW 87^th Avenue/NW 12^th Street will be closed for drainage inspection on Wednesday, April 22 through Friday, April 24 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.

Ramp Reduction

A single lane on the eastbound SR 836 ramp to NW 72^nd Avenue will be closed for drainage inspection on Monday, April 20 through Wednesday, April 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

Lane Closures

Up to two lanes on eastbound and/or westbound SR 836 between NW 45^th Avenue and NW 17^th Avenue will be closed for striping and painting on Sunday, April 19 through Thursday, April 23 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night and Friday, April 24 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Street Lane Closures

Up to two lanes on northbound and/or southbound NW 42^nd Avenue/LeJeune Road between NW 11^th Street and NW 14^th Street will be intermittently closed for roadway restoration on Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night and again on Monday, March 20 through Friday, April 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

Street Lane Closures

Up to two lanes on northbound and southbound NW 27^th Avenue between NW 11^th Street and NW 14^th Street will be intermittently closed for roadway restoration on Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night and again on Monday, March 20 through Friday, April 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

Street Lane Closure

Alternating single lanes on northbound and southbound NW 37^th Avenue between NW 13^th Street and NW 15^th Street will be intermittently closed for roadway restoration on Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night and again on Monday, March 20 through Friday, April 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

Street Lane Closure

Alternating single lanes on northbound and southbound NW 22^nd Avenue between NW 9^th Street and NW 11^th Street will be intermittently closed for bridge work and roadway restoration on Sunday, April 19 through Tuesday, April 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

Street Lane Closure

Alternating single lanes on eastbound and westbound NW 11^th Street between NW 23^rd Avenue and NW 22^nd Avenue will be closed for roadway restoration on Sunday, April 19 through Friday, April 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

Street Lane Closures

Up to two lanes on northbound and southbound NW 87^th Avenue between NW 8^th Street and NW 13^th Street will be intermittently closed for median work and striping on Monday, April 20 through Friday, April 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 pm each day and 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night.

Street Lane Closure

Up to two lanes on eastbound and westbound NW 12^th Street between NW 87^th Avenue and NW 82^nd Avenue will be closed for roadway restoration on Monday, April 20 through Friday, April 24 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night.

Note: The following closures are part of the I-395/SR 836/I-95 Design-Build Project. This schedule may change due to bad weather or other unforeseen conditions.

SUNDAY, APRIL 19 THROUGH FRIDAY, APRIL 24 – The eastbound SR 836 ramp to northbound NW 17 Avenue will be closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Drivers can:

·       Exit at NW 27 Avenue, then turn north on NW 27 Avenue

·       Turn right on NW 20 Street to connect with NW 17 Avenue

MONDAY, APRIL 20 THROUGH FRIDAY, APRIL 24 – The eastbound SR 836 ramp to northbound I-95 will be closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Drivers can:

• Access the NW 8 Street ramp, then exit at the NW 8 Street/Port Miami ramp
• Turn left at NW 8 Street
• Turn left at NW 3 Avenue to access the northbound I-95 ramp

MONDAY MORNING, APRIL 20 (TUESDAY MORNING, APRIL 21 IS AN ALTERNATE DATE) – All westbound SR 836 travel lanes will be shifted to the left side of the roadway from the Miami River to east of NW 17 Avenue allow the contractor to continue construction activities on the right side of the roadway.

SUNDAY, APRIL 19 THROUGH FRIDAY, APRIL 24 – Two lanes on eastbound SR 836 from NW 20 Avenue to east of NW 17 Avenue will be closed every day between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. One lane will remain closed 24/7.

SUNDAY, APRIL 19 THROUGH FRIDAY, APRIL 24 – Two westbound lanes on SR 836 from I-95 to NW 17 Avenue will be closed between the hours of 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.

MDX SR 874/Don Shula Expressway

As part of the SR 874 Ramp Connector to SW 128^th Street project, the following lane closures are scheduled:

Complete Lane Closure

Southbound SR 874 will be fully closed from south of SW 104^th Street/Killian Parkway to the connection with the Florida’s Turnpike to perform beam erection on Friday, April 24 at 7 p.m. through Monday, April 27 at 5 a.m. each night. Drivers should follow posted detour signs.  Detour:

Drivers going south on SR 874 wishing to connect Turnpike South can:

• Continue south on mainline SR 874/Don Shula Expressway
• Exit at the Southbound Off Ramp to West SW 104^th Street/Killian Parkway
• Continue west along Killian Parkway until SW 117^th Avenue
• Turn south on SW 117^th Avenue
• Turn west on SW 120^th Street and
• Continue to southbound HEFT ramp at the SW 120^th Street Interchange.

Complete Street Closure

SW 127^th Avenue will be fully closed on one traffic direction or both from SW 124^th Street to SW 130^th Street for roadway and drainage work on Monday, April 20 through Friday, April 24 from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night and on Saturday, April 25 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Drivers should follow posted detour signs. Detour:

Drivers going south on SW 127^th Avenue can:

• Turn left on SW 120^th Street
• Go east to SW 122^nd Avenue
• Turn right and go south to SW 130^th Street
• Turn right and go west to SW 127^th Avenue

Drivers going north on SW 127th Avenue can:

• Turn right on SW 130^th Street
• Go east to SW 122^nd Avenue
• Turn left and go north to SW 120^th Street
• Turn left and go west to SW 127^th Avenue

Complete Intersection Closure

The intersection at SW 122^nd Avenue and SW 128^th Street will be fully closed for roadway reconstruction at the intersection on Monday, April 20 through Friday, April 24 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. each night. Access to local traffic east of SW 122^nd Avenue will be provided at all times.  Drivers should follow posted detour signs. Detours:

Drivers going south on SW 122^nd Avenue to access properties west of SW 122^nd Avenue can:

• Turn right on SW 120^th Street
• Turn left on SW 127^th Avenue
• Turn left on SW 128^th Street

Drivers going north on SW 122^nd Avenue to access properties west of SW 122^nd Avenue can:

• Turn left on SW 130th Street
• Turn right on SW 127th Avenue
• Turn right on SW 128^th Street

Complete Street Closure

SW 128^th Street will be fully closed from SW 122^nd Avenue east to the Cul-de-Sac at the end of 128^th Street for bridgework and drill shaft installation on Monday, April 20 through Sunday, April 26 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. each night. Access to local traffic will be provided at all times.

Street Closure

Traffic eastbound and westbound on SW 128^th Street will be stopped intermittently by flagging operations from approximately SW 137^th Avenue to east of SW 122^nd Avenue to the cul-de-sac at the east end of 128^th Street for drainage, utilities work and roadway construction on Monday, April 20 through Friday, April 24 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.

Street Closure

One traffic lane of northbound and/or southbound of SW 137^th Avenue will be closed between SW 124^th Street and SW 131^st Street for roadway and signal construction on Monday, April 20 through Friday, April 24 from 9 a.m. to 3  p.m. each day and from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night as needed.

Street Closure

A single lane will be closed on the intersections at SW 128^th Street and SW 136^th Avenue; SW 128^th Street and SW 134^th Court; SW 128^th Street and 133^rd Court; SW 128^th Street and 132^nd Court; and SW 128^th Street and 132^nd Avenue to allow for roadway reconstruction on Monday, April 20 through Friday, April 24 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. each night. The closures will be done sequentially one intersection at the time.

Florida Department of Transportation/Florida’s Turnpike

As part of the Turnpike’s on going widening project, the following closures may impact SR 874/Don Shula Expressway users traveling to connect to the Homestead Extension of the Florida’s Turnpike:

Northbound and southbound Don Shula Expressway/SR 874 between SR 821 and SR 874 interchange and Killian Parkway/SW 104 Street

Overnight single and double lane closures, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday, April 19, and nightly through Thursday, April 23.

Southbound Don Shula Expressway/SR 874 exit ramp to SW 117 Avenue/SW 152 Street

Overnight full ramp closures, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday, April 19, and nightly through Thursday, April 23.

Detour information:

·       Southbound Don Shula Expressway/SR 874 traffic wishing to access SW 117 Avenue/SW 152 Street will be directed to continue south on Don Shula Expressway to southbound Florida’s Turnpike, continue south on the Turnpike and exit at Eureka Drive (Exit 13), travel west on Eureka Drive to SW 117 Avenue and travel north on SW 117 Avenue to access SW 152 Street.

NOTES:

–        To accelerate critical roadway construction projects and take advantage of the reduction of traffic resulting from the Stay at Home Order, closures may extend up to two (2) hours prior and/or two (2) hours after the noticed time.

–          Please note that all scheduled activities are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
