Celebrating its 20th Anniversary, the Orianne and Phil Collins Little Dreams Foundation (LDF) is launching its inaugural #LDF20for20 campaign to commemorate the organization’s 20 years of service to support children’s musical, artistic, and athletic dreams in Miami and across the globe.

Little Dreams Foundation currently is calling on supporters to make a minimum contribution of $20 in honor of the 20th Anniversary at littledreamsfoundation.org/donation.

“For 20 years, my family and I have had the honor of working with talented youth, supporting their growth in their industries. This work would not be possible without the commitment of every supporter, LDF member, and mentor,” said Orianne Collins, co-founder and chair of the Little Dreams Foundation. “With just $20, you can be part of our mission to help youth across the globe realize their dreams no matter their socioeconomic status.”

Since its launch in 2000, the foundation’s programs have provided hundreds of students with customized guidance and connected young talent with industry leaders as their direct mentors — vocalists hand-picked by Phil Collins learn alongside a team of professional musicians, artists build their portfolios with Romero Britto’s guidance, and athletes train with coaches from Paris Saint-Germain Academy.

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, LDF’s critical programs and fundraising efforts have gone fully virtual, ensuring beneficiaries continue to receive high-quality training despite limitations brought on by social distancing guidelines.

Little Dreamers in the music program have received vocal lessons via tele-learning to help them continue to hone their musical skills, stay motivated and active from home during this crisis. Additionally, LDF soccer athletes have attended socially distanced summer training hosted by Paris Saint-Germain Academy coaches at Tropical Park.

In April, LDF quickly led the charge to provide relief to families around the world suffering from the devastating affects brought on by the global pandemic. The foundation delivered more than 100 fresh meals for Jackson Health workers and raised funds for LDF families in Zimbabwe and Morocco in need of essential resources like meals and medical aid. Now, the foundation asks supporters to help keep alive the critical arts and sports year-round programs it provides for hundreds of children worldwide.

“Now more than ever, young artists, like myself, need your help to make sure we are able to keep our dreams alive,” said Isabella Velasquez, Little Dreamer. “With school buildings and extracurricular programs on pause, programs like LDF help me continue to practice music and stay positive during these confusing and complicated times.”

In addition to a one-time $20 contribution, supporters also can help LDF by purchasing custom hand sanitizer bottle for a donation of $10 to benefit LDF sister organization, The Never Give Up Foundation, supporting its beneficiaries who suffer from spinal cord inquiry and paralysis.

This year’s fundraising efforts will culminate with the foundation’s virtual event in December, honoring LDF co-founder Phil Collins and the achievements of Little Dreamers and featuring performances by award-winning artists.
