Miami Dade College’s (MDC) popular Mike Fernandez Global Business Leadership Series will host a virtual conversation with Ana Paula Assis, general manager, IBM Client Transition Leader, from 10 to 11 a.m., on Thursday, Feb. 18.
The conversation will be moderated by Wolfson Campus Dean of Faculty Sarah Tuskey. This event is free and open to the public.
Assis supports IBM clients and teams in every aspect of client engagement. With over 20 years in the IT industry and recognized as a thought leader on artificial intelligence and data responsibility, she has been devoted to strategic business development, change management and innovative leadership.
She also is committed to building an increasingly inclusive and diverse workplace as well as advancing education that boosts the professional skills of the future. Assis is a board member of Junior Achievement Americas (JA Americas), an organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs. Prior to her current role, Assis was general manager for IBM Latin America.
The Mike Fernandez Global Business Leadership Series provides students with first-hand knowledge of best business practices and leadership by inviting top, renowned executives to share their experiences and discuss new trends in their respective industries.
