City of West Park Development Opportunities

In recent years, certain vacant, commercial properties were conveyed to the City from the Florida Department of Transportation and from Broward County. Each of the properties received are located in the City’s Transit Oriented Corridor zoning district. All properties also contain various development restrictions imposed by the prior granting agencies. In an effort to develop these properties, the City is also required to formally advertise the properties for development. For that reason, property development notices are placed on City’s webpage and in major local newspapers. Two of the received properties have now gone through the property advertising and developer selection process. As a result of these solicitation processes, specific project developers were selected to construct commercial projects in accordance with City of West Park stated goals and objectives. City owned property at 5960 Pembroke Road is currently being developed to construct a strip-center shopping mall. A second City-owned property located at 5000 Pembroke Road was recently approved by the City Commission to construct a two-story office building.

A third City owned, vacant property located at the corner of SW 25th Street and State Road 7 is also currently being advertised for development. A copy of the Request For Qualifications may be found on the City’s website under the Business tab.
