Amerant Bank, the second largest community bank headquartered in Florida, announces the hiring of Silvia Larrieu as chief of staff to the CEO and head of Community Relations and Affinity Partnerships.
A recognized local executive with a focus on creating an impact in the South Florida community through strategic partnerships, Larrieu will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with consumers, the community, and public interest groups. In addition, she will be responsible for Amerant’s new affinity partnership program.
Prior to joining Amerant, Larrieu most recently served as senior director of Development and Partnerships at the Miami Herald where she led community news funding initiatives across Florida, as well as community affairs partnerships.

Larrieu also served as Community Health Supervisor at Baptist Health South Florida.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from Babson College and an MBA in International Business
