The 2021 Bronco Sport Badlands is one of my favorite brands in the Ford line because it reminds me of my youth. And it broke my heart when it went away. I’m sure many of you felt the same.
So at a starting price of just over $33,000, this is your chance to get yourself a car that brings back all the great feelings of your youth and at the same time is built for the future.
The small SUV version of the Bronco gets 25 miles per gallon in the city and 28 miles per gallon on the highway.
The 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine, with auto start-stop technology, generates 250 horsepower and 277 pounds/feet of torque.
All Bronco Sports models have four-wheel drive, continuing the rugged nature of its brand. There is also an advanced version of the 4×4 system, with a twin-clutch, rear drive unit, which gives you special traction and grip, which is great when going off-roading. The 2021 Bronco Sports Badlands also have Selectable Drive Modes, making a switch possible to improve agility on loose ground.
One of the cooler features makes mud or muck manageable by engaging the rear differential lock. It allows the vehicle to continue to make progress on a single rear wheel even if the other three have no traction. You can’t beat that in giving you confidence that no matter your circumstances, you can make it out of tough situations.
The terrain management system has what Ford calls 7 G.O.A.T (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) modes. These are sand, slippery, sport, eco, mud/ruts, rock crawl and normal. Just reading that list gives you a sense of the adventure that awaits when driving this beauty.
The ride is also going to be smooth for the five people inside the cabin because the 2021 Bronco Sport Badlands is equipped with the High Performance, Off-Road, Stability Suspension system.
Here is some of the icing on the cake in terms of possible features: flip-up rear glass, safari-style roof, LED configurable daytime running lamps and fog lamps, front tow hooks, flood lights, bash plates and a grille consisting of carbonized gray with white Bronco badging. It looks fantastic.
The inside continues the rugged feel that Broncos are known for with great badging. But it also has all the modern features people love including electronic automatic temperature control with rear air ducts and dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control.
The 6.5-inch color LCD instrument panel is crisp and easily accessible from both the driver and passenger side of the vehicle. You get multiple USB ports including in the center and the back of the center console.
For safety, the Bronco Badlands comes with pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping tech and cross-traffic alerts. It’s packed with tech goodies.
The bottom line for me is that this is a gorgeous car that takes you anywhere you want to go with confidence and pride. The 2021 Bronco Sport Badlands is a great addition to the Bronco brand.
