Councilmember Katie Abbott believes Pinecrest Gardens is the heart of Pinecrest. She used to go there as a child and she brought her kids there when they were young. She goes there now to meet friends and connect with nature.
“The Trolls art installation was a labor of the community, as the artist invited residents to help build the trolls,” said Abbott.
She took part in the building of the elbow and takes pride in the effort. Her father, Tim Abbott, volunteers there twice a week and Katie points out that the volunteer program allows people of all ages to connect with nature, help and be in the Gardens’ beautiful landscape as long as they want.
