World-renowned. Prestigious. Talented. Heritage…. that’s the Dance Theatre of Harlem; and they are coming to the Miramar Cultural Center (MCC) (2400 Civic Center Place; Miramar, Florida 33025) for one weekend only! (Saturday, September 25th through Sunday, September 26th) Through performances, community engagement and arts education, the Company’s South Florida visit is carrying Dance Theatre of Harlem’s message of empowerment through the arts for all forward. Audiences will have a show on Sunday with performance prices of $25, $35 and $45, a Master Class (minimum fee) as well as a Flash Mob (free event) as ways to see the Dance Theater of Harlem in the only way that they can at MCC!

Now entering its sixth decade, the renowned Dance Theatre of Harlem will offer a master class for all dance levels from beginner to professional.
The master class will include:
A ballet warm-up
Center work
Across-the-floor movement

Dance in the Street with Dance Theatre of Harlem! Learn a fun flash mob routine from the Principal Dance Theatre of Harlem Dancers then perform it with them! See yourself on the big screen as we premiere the video ahead of Sunday’s Live Performance!
DTH delivers a brilliant mashup of ballet and classic social dancing for all ages! Every skill level is invited to participate in the fun and personal expression of an old-style Soul Train line. Starting with a warmup, DTOH’s company artists teach the vocabulary and sequence of a section of choreography. Select participants will then perform LIVE with the company!
Maximum of 50 participants of all ages.
