January 1, 1963: Here’s a crowd shot taken during the 1963 Orange Bowl. President John F. Kennedy was among the 73,380 spectators who watched Alabama defeat Oklahoma 17-0. Notice how people dressed at football games during that time. Men wore suits, while women wore dresses. There’s no team merchandise anywhere to be seen. It’s also important to note seating at the Orange Bowl was segregated.
