January 26, 2008: On this day 14 years ago, fans and former players gathered at the Orange Bowl for a final farewell. The event included a flag football game played between former Dolphin and Hurricane players. Pictured below are former Dolphins tight end Joe Rose and former UM defensive back Darrell Fullington. Don Shula and Howard Schnellenberger were the honorary coaches. Players also shared their memories with the fans. Stadium memorabilia, such as seat covers, were auctioned off to fans. It was the last event held for the public at the stadium before it was demolished.
