Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Starting at over $22,000, the 2022 Ford Maverick XLT AWD truck is a powerful addition to the company’s line.
It has seating for five and a payload of 1,500 pounds. One of the things I like is what Ford calls their Flexbed System, which makes it easy to a bike rack, dividers and more. The Ford Maverick also comes standard with a multi-position tailgate, six tie-downs and configurable slots, so you can customize the bed any way you want. That’s really important when you are working and you need to organize all your stuff.
For the interior, Ford gives you choices: It comes standard with unique cloth front bucket seats. The driver’s seat has six-way adjustability and you get a four-way adjustment for the passenger – with lumbar support.
There is also the XLT luxury package that includes more choices for the heated seats, a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel and heated mirrors with body-color skullcaps.
I like that when you open both doors, you can easily see into the nooks and crannies of the entire cabin, just in case you need more room for groceries and equipment, if necessary. There’s also plenty of room for your people, so you can conduct a meeting and everyone can hear each other, which is great.
The driver’s space is designed for maximum and convenient use. The touchscreen is easily accessible and easy to read, with a big, bright screen. The steering wheel feels just right, and is designed to make it easy to manage all the important features from the wheel. It’s also easy to see the odometer and everything else you need to watch while driving.
One of the things that is a standout is the fuel mileage. The 2022 Ford Maverick XLT AWD delivers 22 miles per gallon in the city and 29 miles per gallon on the highway for a whopping 25 miles per gallon combined. That is generated with a 2.5-liter FHEV hybrid engine.
Overall, the 2022 Ford Maverick XLT AWD gets the job done in style.
