Best-selling author, Rochelle Weinstein, launches her latest novel, When We Let Go, on Tuesday, May 17, at 7pm, in the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center’s Alan & Diane Lieberman Theater. The launch includes a reception, book signing, and Weinstein discussing her book in conversation with book influencer Lauren Margolin, the writer and creator of the book blog, Good Book Fairy.
This program is offered as part of the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center’s complimentary Meet the Author Jewish Book Series, presented in partnership with Beth Torah Benny Rok Campus, Chabad Chayil, Mishkan Miami of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, and Temple Sinai of North Dade.
Rochelle Weinstein was raised in Miami and attended the University of Maryland, where she received her journalism degree. After graduation, Weinstein relocated to California to begin her writing career with the LA Weekly before returning to her native Miami, where she gave birth to twins.
In between her children’s naps, Weinstein penned her first novel, What We Leave Behind. Since then, her impressive credits have included The Mourning After, Where We Fall, Somebody’s Daughter, and This is Not How it Ends. In When We Let Go, we meet Avery, a woman haunted by a painful tragedy from her past and the eventual path she takes to overcome her grief and guilt.
The Meet the Author Jewish Books Series is made possible “with the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners,” and the State of Florida Division of Arts and Culture.
