Perfectly situated in the heart of one of Miami’s most elegant neighborhoods, The Plaza Coral Gables is revitalizing Miami’s business district section with a full range of services and community opportunities, including a 4.5 Star Loews hotel with meeting space for businesses and social events, class “A” offices, street-level shopping and dining areas, approximately 170 trendy residential units, about 2,400 parking spaces, and more.
Opening this spring, The Plaza will feature an exciting list of upcoming dining and entertainment options, including the following: Fogo de Chao, a Brazilian steakhouse that features expansive dining rooms, wine displays and a full Bar Fogo specializing in Brazilian-inspired small plates, South American wines and hand crafted cocktails;
Cantina Leon, a high-end Mexican destination featuring authentic cuisine, full bar with Miami’s most extensive tequila collection, tortilleria and a private speak easy.;
Sanguich, a traditional Cuban sandwich shop that offers tasty menu items that will whisk its customers away to pre-revolutionary Cuba;
Sweet Paris Creperie & Cafe, a crepe lover’s dream that features a distinctive menu filled with tasty, made-from-scratch waffles, milkshakes, salads, and the best specialty espresso and Nutella drinks, and
Pinstripes, a unique dining and entertainment venue comprised of a high-end bistro, bowling lanes, and bocce courts occupying approximately 27,000 square feet spread across two levels.
Guests will also soon be able to enjoy top-tier retail options like Mancave for Men, a prestigious barber shop ready to meet the needs and expectations of even the most demanding man, and Lash Lounge, the beauty bar that offers exquisite eyelash extensions and eyebrow services.
In addition to its many dining and entertainment options, The Plaza is home to some of the finest public art in the world. Among the main art on display is Jean-Michel Othoniel’s Coral Fountains, a stunning organic fountain sculpture made of gilded or mirrored beads that represents Coral Gables’ reputation as the pearl of South Florida; Tony Cragg’s Mean Average, a deep brown, tall, abstract sculpture that merges materials and unconventional shapes to draw the viewer in and allow them to perceive their surroundings in a different way, and Michele Oka Doner’s Monumental Ritual Bench, an earthy bench and radial ring that intertwines with nature to symbolize gathering and community.
The Plaza’s central location and gorgeous atmosphere also makes it an ideal location for emerging and established businesses, such as PNC Bank, Raymond James, and H.I.G. For any businesses or private entities looking to host events in The Plaza, its selection of elegant and inviting common areas are expected to be available for event rentals in November of this year.
A project this large could only be made possible with the dedication and leadership of Agave Ponce, LLC, the company that managed the construction and development of The Plaza Coral Gables. The project consisted of approximately 2.1 million square feet of mixed-use real estate on approximately eight acres and spans a whopping three city blocks. The site, located at 2811 and 3011 Ponce de Leon Blvd and at the residential towers, The Reserve at the Plaza, at 122 Sevilla Ave, just south of Miracle Mile in Downtown Coral Gables, carefully balances Agave’s vision and the requirements of an urban setting.
The Plaza Coral Gables will have a positive impact on the quality of life and safety of the community through the creation of new spaces for dining and recreation, and the promotion of artistic, cultural and outdoor activities. Soon, The Plaza hopes to become a community pillar within Coral Gables, and the Greater Miami area.
The Plaza is located in Downtown Coral Gables, just steps from the famed Miracle Mile. For more information on The Plaza’s selection of shopping, dining, lodging and business options, visit www.theplazacoralgables.com or contact their offices at www.theplazacoralgables.com/contact/.
