Various types of dental implants exist all of which have different use cases and benefits. In this blog, we’ll highlight a real-life case with one of our patients who had an all-on-four dental implant at our practice in Coral Gables.
So What Exactly is an All-on-Four Dental Implant?
All-on-4 dental implants are an innovative method for replacing missing teeth. The implant itself is a small metal (often times titanium) screw that is screwed into the jaw bone. This implant replaces the root(s) of missing teeth. A small surgery is necessary to insert the dental implants. Then, after the dental implant is correctly placed, a crown is connected. The end product gives the patient incredibly realistic looking and of course fully functional teeth along with an amazing smile and increased confidence.

Accidents happen. And our patient seen in the following photographs lost almost all of his teeth in an accident. Accidents aren’t the only reason for all-on-four dental implants. As we age, tooth loss is common among adults and instead of dealing with dentures, all-on-4 dental implants are a very common option.
You can see the progression of the all-on-four implant procedure and how Dr. Lesperance was able to transform this patient’s smile and confidence.
For our patient, the best course of action included four implants placed on his top jaw, in addition to four implants placed on the bottom. He received the temporary fixed teeth the next day and the final case a few months later! This is just one example of truly life-changing dentistry.
