The Town of Cutler Bay’s annual “Halloween Spooktacular” event will spread over two nights this year, taking place on Friday, Oct. 28, and Saturday, Oct. 29, at Cutler Ridge Park. Both nights the spooky events will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. and admission to the family-friendly party is free.
First, on Oct. 28 there will be the usual “Trunk or Treat” distribution of candy in a safer environment than traditional neighborhood trick-or-treating. Next there will be a costume contest for all ages. Participants must register in person at the event, limited to the first 25 participants to register, per age group. Sign up closes at 7:45 p.m.
The costume contest categories are:
● Infants to 2 years
● 3 to 6 years
● 7 to 9 years
● 10 to 13 years
● 14 to 17 years
● 18 and older
● Pets
Also, that night there will be inflatables, a haunted house, music, food trucks and more.
On Saturday, Oct. 29, is the Golf Cart Parade. The parade route and map will be provided online via the town’s website. Lineup for the parade will take place on the west soccer field at Cutler Ridge Park.
● 6 p.m., Line Up Opens
● 6:50 p.m., Line Up Closes
● 7 p.m., Parade Begins
Oct. 29 also is Movie Night. The movie will begin shortly after the parade returns to Cutler Ridge Park (approximately 8:30 p.m.).
