Bally Sports Florida, the network home of the Orlando Magic, has announced plans to televise 81 Magic games during the 2022-23 NBA season.
Bally Sports Florida will celebrate opening night on Wednesday, Oct. 19, with a special hour-long “Magic Live” pregame show starting at 6 p.m. ahead of the 7 p.m. tip-off at the Detroit Pistons. Other game telecasts this season will be preceded by half-hour pregame shows and all will be followed by extended “Magic Live” postgame coverage, featuring expert analysis, news conferences, player interviews and more.
Magic games and programming airing on Bally Sports Florida will also stream live on the Bally Sports app, available on mobile and tablet devices (including iOS and Android), connected devices, and BallySports.com when fans authenticate using their pay-TV credentials. New this season, Magic games and coverage will also be available on Bally Sports+, the all-new standalone streaming subscription service from Bally Sports. Calling the action will be longtime Magic play-by-play announcer David Steele, celebrating his 34th season with the team, and former Magic player Jeff Turner, who returns as color analyst. This season marks 10 years together for the Steele-Turner pairing.
Dante Marchitelli will be back as host of “Magic Live” and lead in-game reporter, while former Magic Head Coach Brian Hill and ex-Magic forward Quentin Richardson return as studio analysts. Former Magic players Nick Anderson and Bo Outlaw will also appear on select pregame and postgame shows.
The popular “Inside the Magic” series returns and will feature player profiles and behind-the-scenes access to other aspects of the franchise and its operations – all designed to bring the fans closer to their favorite team. A season preview episode debuted Sept. 24, and future episodes will be announced ahead of their premiere dates.
