Hello Neighbors;

Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 to October 15 of each year. Over the years I have hosted the Miramar Latin Music Festival to celebrate Hispanic heritage month. The 2022 Latin Music Festival amazing performances included Luis Enrique, Bonny Cepeda, Albita and John Luis. The Miramar Latin Music Festival has grown from a small gathering of 200, to this year’s event that attracted 5,000 guests.

YVETTE COLBOURNE VICE MAYOR

Just like this event has grown, the number of Miramar Hispanic residents has also grown. Today, over 36% of Miramar residents are of Hispanic heritage. It is so fitting that we celebrate the Hispanic and Latino contributions to this great nation, our accomplishments, and sacrifices made by us and/or for us, to become Hispanic Americans.

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!
Miramar Vice Mayor Yvette Colbourne
