Friday, Nov. 11, is Veterans Day and the Village of Palmetto Bay and Palmer Trinity School are joining to host a special annual event honoring those who valiantly served our country.
The event, scheduled from 7:45 to 10 a.m. in the Palmer Trinity School gymnasium, 8001 SW 184 St., will feature a special assembly for students and faculty of the school, as well as a breakfast with local veterans. This year’s guest speaker will be Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava.
RSVP for the breakfast is required. RSVP by Saturday, Nov. 5, by going to https://form.123formbuilder.com/6250712/form and completing the form. When arriving for the event, organizers request that attendees enter the school from its main entrance located at 8001 SW 184 St., and report to the gymnasium.
Lisbeth Benivegna, Special Events & Programs supervisor for Palmetto Bay, is excited about the event and explains that there is an extra feature, which is optional.
“We’d like to create a PowerPoint slideshow presentation of our veterans and showcase it during the event,” Benivegna said. “If you’re a veteran and would like to be a part of the slideshow presentation, please complete questions #7-10 on the RSVP form and upload a photo of you in service or with your military uniform.”
The event is open to military veterans who live in the southern end of Miami-Dade County (Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay, Cutler Bay, and Homestead).
