In this season of giving, we at Miami-Dade County Public Schools would like to express our sincere gratitude to our community and the voters of Miami-Dade, who on Nov. 8 overwhelmingly approved to renew the School Board’s referendum to support teachers and school safety.
This investment will allow us to continue providing our educators with a compensation that will attract and retain the best and brightest to educate our students. Student safety and school security will continue as this funding will allow us to provide police officers at every school to keep our children safe.
Now and in the future, we are committed to educating and protecting our children. We are grateful to our community for standing by our school district, which will allow us to prepare the next generation of Miami’s children to become successful citizens and leaders.
The resounding approval of this referendum is proof of this community’s confidence in our teachers, who work hard every day to provide our students with a world class education. It also shows trust in our officers, who are there every day to keep them safe. Because of the generosity of our community, our future is secure. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Dr. Jose L. Dotres, Superintendent of Schools
