Presented by the Government Finance Officers Association, the Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
In order to meet the program’s high standards, Pinecrest must demonstrate a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report. An independent review panel evaluated and selected Pinecrest for this award.
Over the past 26 years, the Village of Pinecrest has consistently received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. Additionally, the Village has received the Government Finance Officers Association Distinguished Budget Presentation Award every year it applied since incorporation in 1996.
