On Saturday, February 4th, the 2nd annual Caribe Arts Fest, produced by the North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency, provided North Miami residents and visitors with a fun-filled opportunity to celebrate Black History Month and Reggae Month. The event featured family-friendly experiences with a wide variety of talents and creations representing and encompassing the culture, essence, and creativity of the Caribbean and the Americas.

At the event, attendees enjoyed stellar performances by GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY-nominated bilingual Latin band Locos Por Juana and reggae group BACHACO. The festival also highlighted more than 40 visual and musical artists showcasing their talents spanning from contemporary and classic to unconventional and eccentric.

Over 500 guests were welcomed to Griffing Park to take part in the festivities. Several local North Miami businesses were showcased at the event including KidsCreate, a North Miami business providing hands-on art programming for events and activations, Copperbridge Foundation, a grantee of the North Miami CRA, focused on uniting people through all forms of art including Visual Arts, Music, Theater, Dance, and Architecture, and lastly, AfriKin Foundation, featuring contemporary art from the African diaspora.
