Location Ventures — the Miami-based integrated real estate firm that delivers thoughtfully designed and fully connected projects — in partnership with the City of Coral Gables City Commission, recently announced the completion of the first dog park in “The City Beautiful.”
Showcasing a collective commitment to enhancing the community and furthering the important attributes of Coral Gables’ outdoor lifestyle, the new space is now open and welcoming visitors, both human and canine.
A celebratory event took place on Feb. 16 to commemorate the beautiful new addition to the city. The Location Ventures team, including chief development officer Vivian Bonet and vice president of development Leonard Roberts, were joined by the Coral Gables Mayor Vince Lago and Commissioners Rhonda Anderson and Kirk Menendez for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony that welcomed pets to experience the park for the first time.
“Coral Gables is known for its lush foliage and parks, but has long awaited a dedicated space for dogs,” said one canine parent. “As an owner of an Australian Shepard and Belgian Tervuren, I personally know the importance of appreciating a nearby area for them to run free, and I am thrilled to introduce the first dog park to the neighborhood. We know it will be well utilized and received.”
The dog park was designed for maximum greenspace and spans more than 3,000 square feet. A black fence constructed with organic, cruelty-free and upcycled metal, produced in the U.S., envelopes the space, which includes verdant greenery and tree shading to enhance the streetscape. With entry through a standard, double door enter/exit system, inside is a dog run, benches, waste disposal, and pet water station.
The dog park is located at the corner of Menores Avenue and Ponce de Leon Boulevard, within walking distance to Downtown Coral Gables and Miracle Mile. This is Location Ventures’ latest addition to the vibrant community and borders the company’s property at 1505 Ponce de Leon Blvd., which will incorporate a project coming soon. Last year, the firm successfully delivered the nearby Villa Valencia, a 13-story luxury residential property at 515 Valencia Ave.
