Sir Pizza celebrated its first restaurant in Hialeah with a special Grand Opening celebration on August 25, welcoming more than100 members of the community at the festivities.
Special guests included Hialeah Mayor Carlos Hernandez, who took part in the ribbon- cutting ceremony, Council Members Jose Caragol, Vivian Casals-Munoz, Paul Hernandez, and Miss Hialeah Teen USA, Nikki Rodriguez.
Overseeing the celebration were Sir Pizza of Hialeah owners Dolores Obando and Peter Duarte, and operating partner, Laura Mayer. A live DJ provided entertainment while guests were served Sir Pizza’s famous blankets and specialty pizzas as well as soda and wine samples. Sir Pizza opened its first parlor in 1957 on Key Biscayne and has since expanded to Coral Gables, Hialeah, Miramar, Palmetto Bay, Pinecrest, Sunset, Westchester, West Dade and West Kendall.
Known for its signature square-cut pizza slices, Sir Pizza also features unique ingredients like crumbled pepperoni bits and offers specialties that include the Royal Feast, Veggie Feast, BBQ Chicken, Sir Margarita, and Hawaiian.
The Sir Pizza menu also includes spaghetti, lasagna, hot and cold subs, blankets chicken wings, burgers, salads and a variety of desserts. Sir Pizza has nine other locations in Miami-Dade and Broward and a mobile food truck for special events. Sir Pizza of Hialeah at 1695 W. 49 St. in Westfield Mall adjoins Macy’s.
