The 2023 Jaguar F-Type R-Dynamic Coupe has modern styling and the legacy of a tried and true car legend.
Staring at $78,000, this speedster can get up to a top speed of 177 miles per hour. The V-8 engine can also accelerate to 60 miles per hour in an exciting 4.4 seconds. It gets there on a 444 horsepower engine. And it even comes in a convertible, if that’s your thing. And, if you are a car fan like I am, that’s definitely the thing.
The F-Type also comes in a 575 horsepower R75 version with 516 pound-feet of torque that surpasses all expectations. This vehicle runs with an eight-speed transmission that delivers 16 miles per gallon in the city and 24 miles per gallon on the highway for a combined 18 miles per gallon rating. It’s also got a higher price tag, coming in with the bells and whistles at more than $115,000.
I love the sound of the engine, which is loud and in charge. You can also adjust the sound with the flip of a switch, making it less noisy. But who would want to do that?
There are three drive modes: dynamic, normal and rain/ice, which gives you all the customization you need in rainy South Florida, which is always dynamic and never normal, if you know what I mean.
I liked the sound of the Meridian sound system, which travels inside the cabin with deliberate care. It sounds great no matter what’s happening outside.
You can’t go wrong with iconic styling. I really like the bold Jaguar symbol on the steering wheel and the touches throughout that make this coupe unmistakable. After all, that’s why you spend the extra money on a vehicle like the Jaguar F-Type – because it transports you into your happy place where driving is an art form and you’re behind the wheel of a modern masterpiece.
On the road you are floating on 20-inch rims with five-spoke wheels that continue its sporty look. The luxurious materials that communicate expert workmanship are also reflected in the engineering, with a hood that opens from the windshield to the front of the vehicle. It’s a sporty feature that always brings a smile to my face, offering a great vantage point to view the powerful engine of the Jaguar F-Type.
In the rear of the vehicle, there is a surprise. The Jaguar F-Type has a big trunk that has room for plenty of your stuff and even a special compartment for the stuff that is even more important. An automatic lift gate is also available, making it even more convenient and accessible.
What I can tell you with confidence is that the 2023 Jaguar F-Type R-Dynamic Coupe is a vehicle that you should drive again and again. And if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to take my own advice – and take it for another spin.
