At the April Presentations ceremony, Vice Mayor Julio Guzman took the opportunity to recognize Somerset City Arts School and the tremendous influence the school has had on its students, including his son, who attends Somerset.

Somerset offers a comprehensive curriculum of visual arts, dance and theater. Vice Mayor Guzman recognized Somerset principal, Ms. Suarez, honoring her as the backbone of Somerset, and her influence on her staff of educators creating a positive and successful learning experience.

It was a crowded and very full house in chambers as enthusiastic parents and families were in the audience to watch and support the performances by the Stingray Cheerleading Team and the dancers of the Somerset Dance Team in Council Chambers. Vice Mayor Guzman, Mayor Losner and council members then awarded certificates of recognition and medals to all the talented Somerset performers.
