The Ocean Drive Association hosted fireworks and a free patriotic concert with a full orchestra on Fourth of July. The celebration took place in Lummus Park on Miami Beach’s historic Ocean Drive at 8:30 p.m.  The Miami Beach Classical Music Festival (MBCMF), an intensive training program for the next generation of classical musicians to work with world-renowned mentors and gain professional performing experience, collaborated with the Ocean Drive Association for the family-friendly performance.

More than 5,000 local residents and visitors  attended the annual Independence Day Broadway Concert with the 50-piece MCMF Symphony Orchestra. The Ocean Drive Association, a dynamic group of forward-thinking Ocean Drive property owners, business owners and residents, worked with local Miami Beach organizations to help make the 2023 orchestra production under the fireworks a massive success.

Recognized as one of Miami Beach’s signature patriotic events, the Fourth of July concert is an annual tradition produced by the festival’s highly vetted talent and is an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the joy and beauty of classical music. Musical performances included Broadway favorites, favorite Patriotic Selections including Sousa Marches, America the Beautiful and Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture at the stroke of 9 p.m. with the fireworks launch.

Special thanks to our partners in Ocean Drive programming – the City of Miami Beach, GMCVB, CitiBike, FIU and The Beach Channel.
