Construction Update on Friday, July 14:
Construction is ongoing at the site of the future Sewer Pump Station A-24. Crews will be working within the construction area at Peter Feldman Park on Saturday, July 15 between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. to ensure that the site is prepared for activities that are scheduled to take place next week. While this work will not require any lane closures, neighbors can expect minimal noise disruption during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to completing this project as soon as possible.
The City of Fort Lauderdale and David Mancini & Sons, Inc. are constructing a new underground sewer pump station within Peter Feldman Park in Flagler Village. The new pump station will accommodate the increased demand associated with new developments in the area, enhance reliability, and improve services for our neighbors.
The work includes:
- Constructing a new 18-inch gravity sewer line and new gravity sewer manhole on NE 6 Street north of Peter Feldman Park.
- Connecting the new gravity sewer line to existing nearby lines.
- Constructing a new 18-inch force main that connects nearby lines to the new pump station.
- Restoring the surrounding roadway
Construction will begin on Monday, June 12, 2023, and is expected to be completed in early 2024. Work will take place Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
A groundbreaking ceremony will be held for this project on Wednesday, June 21 at 4:15 p.m. at Peter Feldman Park. Click here to learn more.
