Constellation Group, a Miami-based real estate investment and development firm has announced that Eduardo Otaola, managing principal of Constellation Group, has been appointed to the Coral Gables Museum Board of Directors.

Otaola, who was introduced to the museum by current board member Alirio Torrealba, joins the organization as part of his firm’s philanthropic efforts to advance the museum’s mission of promoting the education and awareness of arts and culture in Coral Gables.

As a member of the board of directors, Otaola will be tasked with advancing the museum’s mission within the community. He also will be working on enhancing the quality of the museum’s offerings and will be involved in special projects, including artifact analysis, procurement, exhibition production, and event conceptualization among other responsibilities.

“It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of Eduardo Otaola to our board of directors,” said Jose Valdés-Fauli, chair of the Coral Gables Museum. “His enthusiasm to serve coupled with his extensive and diverse background will not only strengthen our organization but lay the groundwork for a prosperous future, enabling us to forward our mission of promoting the arts and cultural history of Coral Gables.”

Otaola’s inaugural contribution is supporting all development efforts of the museum’s latest exhibit, “The Centennial Tribute,” presented by renowned artists Jesus Soto and Carlos Cruz-Diez, which runs through Oct. 22. Sponsors of the exhibit include ArtBox Logistics, Banesco, MG Developer, Jorge Perez Family Foundation, Amerant Bank, OneSotheby’s, Adriana Meneses, Ocean Bank, Wine & Sense Club, Budare Bistro, Crown Miami Spirits, Avila/Atelier, and Lockton.

“It is an incredible honor to be appointed to the Coral Gables Museum Board of Directors as well as to serve the community in an impactful way,” Otaola said. “As a Coral Gables resident, I am excited to participate in institutions and projects that positively influence the community I proudly reside in.”

Otaola brings vast experience to the board. With a successful background, business strategies, financial growth, and real estate development, Otaola is determined to expand and support the growth of the museum’s authority in the community.

Passionately involved in growing the creative atmosphere of Coral Gables, Otaola’s appointment marks Constellation Group’s latest endeavor in cultivating a command post that is rich in arts and culture throughout South Florida. Currently, the firm is planning a luxury office building as well as a mixed-use development in the city’s Merrick Park district.
