Baptist Health and the Miami Dolphins recently celebrated the grand opening of a new orthopedic complex in Miami Gardens. Hosted by Baptist Health, the event unveiled the new state-of-the-art facility and signified the decades-long partnership between the two South Florida anchor organizations.

“Opening this spectacular facility is really a celebration of Baptist Health’s commitment to the community and our longstanding partnership with the Miami Dolphins,” said Bo Boulenger, president and CEO of Baptist Health. “It’s a great example of what’s possible when our two organizations join forces with a common purpose – providing access to high-quality care for our community.”

Located across the street from Hard Rock Stadium, the 17,000-squre-foot, two-story complex features the latest in medical technology and advancements. Serving both Miami Dolphins players and the community, the new facility offers a full range of orthopedics, diagnostic imaging, physical therapy and rehabilitation services by a team of renowned Baptist Health experts to provide care across all orthopedic subspecialities.

On site at the grand opening event, Baptist Health and Miami Dolphins team members joined local government officials and other members of the community to celebrate the partnership and get a first look at the expansive facility. Several distinguished guests were in attendance, including Boulenger, Miami Dolphins president and CEO Tom Garfinkel, City of Miami Gardens Mayor Rodney Harris and Miami Dolphins alumni Nat Moore and Joe Rose.

“Today is a very special day for not only Baptist Health, but the Miami Dolphins,” said Javier Hernandez-Lichtl, CEO of Baptist Health’s Doctors Hospital and Baptist Health Orthopedic Institute. “We invite the community to explore, experience, and embrace the future of orthopedic care at this new facility.”

The completion of the new complex comes two years after the two organizations unveiled the Baptist Health Training Complex, a world-class sports performance facility for Dolphins coaches, players and staff, located directly next door to the new orthopedic complex.

The Baptist Health orthopedic complex opened for patients on Aug. 22 and is located at 19955 NW 27 Ave., Suite 200, Miami Gardens, FL 33056. The entrance to the facility can be found at Gate 11, located on NW 27th Avenue between 199th Street and 203rd Street.
