Commissioner launches free aquatic fitness lesson program for seniors in District 6

Miami-Dade Commissioner Kevin Marino Cabrera, recently announced the launch of a new and exciting opportunity for District 6 seniors to participate in free pool exercise classes through his newly formed Aquatic Fitness Lesson Sponsorship Program at the recently reopened pool at A.D Barnes Park.

“I’m thrilled to announce that our residents can now enjoy the newly renovated pool at A.D. Barnes Park. The updated pool stands as a testament to our commitment to improving the quality of life for the families in our district,” Commissioner Cabrera said.

“I’m also proud to announce the newly launched Aquatic Fitness Lesson Sponsorship Program for Seniors in our district, we’re taking this commitment a step further by providing an exciting opportunity to participate in free pool exercise classes,” Commissioner Cabrera added.

The program covers the costs of the sessions, making it more accessible and affordable for older adults on a fixed income. It is an excellent opportunity for seniors to stay active and improve their health and well-being.
