Homestead City Council celebrates donations by Top Level Pickleball and USA Pickleball.

The City of Homestead Council gathered for a special presentation ceremony, presided over by Vice Mayor Julio Guzman, to celebrate a significant contribution from Top Level Pickleball.

The organization donated $3,500 to the Parks & Recreation Department to enhance local parks and recreational facilities. But the contributions did not stop there. Top Level Pickleball, USA Pickleball, and their partners went above and beyond by donating $3,000 worth of supplies to Homestead Middle School.

Principal Britain was present to accept the donation, expressing gratitude for the support that will benefit the school and its students.

The event was a momentous occasion that highlighted the growing popularity of pickleball in the community, and the positive impact it is making on Homestead. Vice Mayor Guzman began the ceremony by acknowledging the importance of embracing new sports and recreational activities in the city.

Pickleball, a rapidly growing sport across the country, has found a welcoming home in Homestead. The recent Pickleball Tournament hosted by Top Level Pickleball in JD Redd Park was a huge success and drew over 300 participants and spectators to the city. Vice Mayor Guzman praised the inclusivity of pickleball, which can be enjoyed by individuals ranging in age from 5 to 90, highlighting its power to bring families and communities together.

In her remarks, Lily Azelle, an ambassador for pickleball in the state, expressed her gratitude to the city council and the community for embracing the sport. She emphasized the positive impact pickleball has on individuals’ lives, promoting health and building a sense of community.
