IN HONOR OF VETERANS DAY, CAREERSOURCE BROWARD WILL HOST ITS 11TH ANNUAL PAYCHECKS FOR PATRIOTS JOB FAIR ON NOVEMBER 8, FROM 9 A.M. – 2 P.M., AT PLANTATION CENTRAL PARK COMMUNITY CENTER

In celebration of Veterans Day and to support Broward County’s veterans and their families, CareerSource Broward (CSBD) announces its 11th annual Paychecks for Patriots Job Fair will be held on Wednesday, November 8, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., at Plantation Central Park Community Center (9151 NW 2nd St.). This FREE hiring event, hosted in partnership with the City of Plantation, CareerSource Florida, the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs and the Florida National Guard, will connect veterans, military families, and job seekers with over 100 local employers and partners with immediate job openings.

“CareerSource Broward has a proud history of helping veterans and their families find meaningful employment,” said Carol Hylton, CareerSource Broward president and CEO. “This event reflects our commitment to serve our patriots as they take the next steps on their career journey. Hiring a hero is the order of the day!”

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly with recruiters and apply for jobs on the spot. There will be a Résumé Café to provide attendees with résumé assistance and printing services.  Workforce professionals will be on hand to deliver information on scholarships for educational and training opportunities that could lead to new career prospects.

Some of the top-tier employers already scheduled to recruit for job openings during the hiring event include FedEx, Amazon, Coca-Cola, Dayton-Granger, MasTec, Miami Heat, Meisner Electric, Memorial Healthcare System, Broward County Public Schools, CITY Furniture, Marriott Vacations Worldwide, Nova Southeastern University, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Richard & Rice Construction, Wells Fargo Bank N.A., all Broward municipalities, and many more.
