Miami DDA selects 28 artists and organizations for grants
The grant to the Miami Symphony came to life on Nov. 17 with a free outdoor performance on Flagler Street accompanied by the first Downtown holiday lighting event in 50 years.

Celebrating the ideas that bring Downtown Miami to life, the Miami Downtown Development Authority (Miami DDA) has announced the selection of 28 artists and organizations to receive a total of $300,000 in Downtown Creative Collaborators Grants (DCCG).

These grants allow local visionaries to bring to life projects that will elevate Downtown Miami’s community appeal. With awards ranging from $5,000 to $50,000, the grants give creatives a chance to let their imagination soar with activations, family-friendly events, art installations and more.

“These projects are what makes Downtown Miami shine while improving quality of life and attracting new visitors who patronize downtown businesses and cultural attractions,” said

Arva Suzanne Graham Gibson, Miami DDA Board member.
Recipients of this year’s grants include City Theatre, Fashinnovation, The Miami Symphony Orchestra/Orquesta Sinfonica De Miami, and the Adrienne Arsht Center Trust, among others. A full list of recipients can be found at www.miamidda.com/marketing-comm/miami-dda-funding-programs/.

Designed to support creative projects and events taking place in 2023 through 2024, grantees have developed innovative ideas that will have a demonstrable economic impact on Downtown Miami while also strengthening the appeal of the city as a global destination.
