Starting at $55,520, the 2024 Ford Bronco Everglades 4×4 is a green machine that is way more fun than you can imagine. Go ahead; imagine it. It’s more fun than that.
If you’ve wondered what a Hot Wheels car would look like in real life, this is it. Not only has Ford brought back one of America’s favorite cars, but this is a stylish, edgy SUV that gives off-roading modern cool that could draw both soccer moms and dads as well as weekend warriors.
There are removable doors and top, with the four-door model having an available hardtop.
I love all the great details: The Sasquatch package of the Everglades features unique 17-inch carbonized gray-painted alloy wheels with 35-inch mud-terrain tires, electronic locking front and rear axles, and high-clearance suspension.
The factory installed snorkel is designed to help optimize performance in extreme conditions such as heavy dust, snow or water. Also features extended vents for the front and rear axles, transfer case and transmission to help provide fording capacity of up to 36.4 inches, which is ideal for muddy trails and challenging treks.
And if you ever find yourself in a hole, the Ford Bronco Everglades has available the Ford Performance by WARN winch kit on the grille that can help you self-recover your Bronco or help others in a bind out on the trail.
Even with the winch, you can still see the grille, which comes in carbonized gray painted with black Bronco lettering. It looks tough and durable.
The LED signature lighting is distinct and a standout when looking at the front of the SUV.
Under the hood is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost, Inline-4 275 horsepower engine that feels powerful.
It delivers 20 miles per gallon in the city and 21 miles per gallon on the highway.
Inside, the cabin reminds me of the first Jurassic Park movie. Remember the scene where the SUV has to outrun the roaring T-Rex? It looks like that, with big modern seats and a huge infotainment screen with a bucking bronco as the opening shot.
The driver gets an eight-inch color LCD instrument panel and everyone benefits from the 12-inch LCD touchscreen with swipe capability and enhanced voice recognition.
At the end of the day, the 2024 Ford Bronco Everglades 4×4 is one of my favorite rides of the year. I can’t wait to see what the next year will bring when I’m behind the wheel of the Ford Bronco Everglades.
