Feeding South Florida, the leading hunger-relief organization in South Florida, will host its annual Outrun Hunger 5K on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024. Runners, walkers, families and community leaders will come together to take steps to raise funds and awareness to end hunger in South Florida at Tropical Park in Miami.
Currently in South Florida, there are more than 1.2 million food insecure individuals, and one in nine individuals in South Florida remain uncertain about where they will get their next meal.
Registration currently is open to all four counties that Feeding South Florida serves including Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe at https://feedingsouthflorida.org/events/.
Participants can join the event as an individual or a team. Those not participating in the race also may support the organization by creating a personalized fundraising page when they register.
Activities are from 6:30 to 9 a.m.; registration begins at 6:30 a.m.; Outrun Hunger 5K starts at 7:30 a.m. with an Award Ceremony at 8:30 a.m.
Registration is $25; registration plus T-shirt is $40; be a Hunger Hero for $250.
