U.S. Century Bank announced that Alfred “Scott” P. Hertzog, Jr. has joined as senior vice president, business development officer and will be responsible for expanding relationships between the Bank and the South Florida market.
“We are pleased to welcome Scott to our team,” stated Martha Guerra-Kattou, executive vice president, director of sales and marketing at U.S. Century Bank. “He is experienced in how to build and manage long-term commercial banking relationships and this depth of knowledge will be an asset as we continue to grow.”
Hertzog has almost 40 years in banking and more than 24 years of experience as a relationship manager. Before joining U.S. Century Bank, he worked at Grove Bank & Trust as senior vice president, relationship manager and assisted clients with investment services. While there, he closed $50 million in loans in the first two years. Prior to that, he was senior vice president, relationship manager at Stonegate Bank and vice president, relationship manager at Northern Trust.
He earned a Master of International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and politics from Wake Forest University.
