The Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami (CCBM), artistic director Eriberto Jimenez, invites you to the presentation of “Choreographers Showcase”, on Friday, March 22 / 8:00 pm at the Miami Beach Bandshell.
“Choreographers Showcase” was conceived as a dynamic platform to foster creativity and innovation within the Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami (CCBM) repertoire while providing a stage for emerging talents in Miami’s vibrant choreographic scene. This initiative serves as a catalyst for experimentation, allowing choreographers to push boundaries and explore new artistic avenues.
The program features a diverse range of neoclassical and contemporary dance pieces, carefully curated to showcase the versatility and skill of both established and up-and-coming choreographers. Embracing a variety of styles and themes, each performance is thoughtfully designed to resonate with audiences across different venues and settings.
“Choreographers Showcase” not only enriches CCBM’s repertoire with fresh and compelling works but also nurtures the growth of Miami’s dance community by providing a platform for local talent to thrive and gain exposure. Through this collaborative and inclusive approach, CCBM reaffirms its commitment to artistic excellence and cultural enrichment, inviting audiences to embark on a journey of discovery and inspiration through the transformative power of dance.
The program will include new creations by young choreographers. Among the novice choreographers presenting contemporary pieces are a group of young graduates of the New World School of the Arts who have created small companies in our city in their search for a place to develop their artistic work in addition to creating a network for talents who wish to continue their careers in Miami, among them Rafael Ruiz del Vizio and Enrique Villacreses founders of Miami Movement Collective, Natalia Rocamonde.
