Aventura Marketing Council members were recently among the first to discover all the great new reasons why “It’s a New Stay” at Courtyard by Marriott when Turnberry Associates hosted a gala networking reception showcasing the hotel’s contemporary new lobby featuring high-tech amenities and variety of new culinary delights.
Courtyard’s general manager Stephen Policare and director of sales Yara Mendes welcomed a great turnout of business and community leaders from the Aventura Marketing Council, members of the Aventura City Commission, North Miami Beach City Commission and North Miami Beach Chamber invited to share in the festivities featuring amazing “new age” entertainment by CooLAM Dance Productions and the debut of “new and exciting” Courtyard by Marriott renovations and innovations.
Aventura Vice Mayor Billy Joel noted, “We salute Turnberry for their commitment to the community and their vision and imagination to know ‘what could be.’ Albert Einstein said, ‘Logic will get you from A to B – imagination will take you everywhere.’”
While AMC members were admiring the lobby’s chic new décor and inviting ambiance, everyone was exceptionally impressed by Turnberry’s efforts to go high-tech with interactive GoBoards®, a home theater, and MediaPods. Mendes explained, “Our signature GoBoard located in the lobby is an interactive touch screen informational display panel enabling guests to access driving directions, view local weather, find a local restaurant and catch up on all the latest news. MediaPods are cozy booths that offer complimentary Wi-Fi, power outlets for laptops and a flatscreen TV with a personal remote control – they’re perfect for work or play!”
