The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4Matic Coupe got my attention the first time I saw it.
Offered with a standard AMG Line, the new GLC puts its sporty side first. The distinctive coupe silhouette remains intact, even as the GLC’s dimensions expand.
Inside, a modern interior combines form and function, with a leather-lined dashboard, optional open-pore wood trim and aluminum inlays. Prominent driver and center displays hover above the trim surface, while door panels frame both ends of the dashboard and seamlessly flow into floating armrests. With an extra 1.2 inches in length, the GLC Coupe also offers increased room for cargo, with 19.2 cubic feet of space behind the second row and 52.6 cubic feet when the second row folded down.
Because the GLC Coupe is designed for adventure: 4MATIC all-wheel drive
comes standard with off-road driving mode and Downhill Speed Regulation. While in off-road mode, the Transparent Hood provides a virtual view under the front of the vehicle (including the position of the front wheels), so the GLC is ready to take on anything in its tracks. The four-link front suspension and multi-link independent rear suspension deliver a sense of comfort while allowing for confident maneuvers. And a 48-volt integrated starter-generator provides a boost of power and efficiency with every drive.
Starting at 56,000, the GLC Coupe gets 26 miles per gallon in the city and 33 miles per gallon on the highway. The engine delivers 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, which gets this couple from 0–60 mph in 6.2 seconds with a top speed of 130 miles per hour.
Other key features include 4MATIC all-wheel drive with off-road driving mode with, downhill speed regulation, standard sport suspension with four-link front suspension and a multi-link independent rear suspension and the latest generation of driver assistance systems available.
The coupe also has the Mercedes-Benz user experience (MBUX) with voice control multimedia system based on artificial intelligence, with available MBUX augmented video. The 11.9-inch LCD central touchscreen multimedia display and 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster is bright and easy to manage.
On the outside, you get a choice between 19 and 20-inch wheels and in the bells and whistles department, digital light and projections, which adds a modern flare to the coupe.
All in all, I enjoyed the style and drive of the Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4Matic. Give it a spin and let me know what you think.
