Working closely with Senate President Kathleen Passidomo, senate leadership, and the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR), Senator García is awaiting Governor DeSantis to successfully secure $350,000 from the state budget for the Cuban American Bar Association (CABA) to provide legal aid to the most vulnerable individuals affected by misconduct in community associations. Additionally, half a million dollars was allocated to the office of the prosecutor Katherine Fernández Rundle to support ongoing investigations by the Economic Crime Unit.
“Community associations play a vital role in Florida, and we must hold board members and administrators accountable for their actions,” said Senator García. “By addressing misconduct head-on and providing support to those in need, we are working towards a fairer and more transparent system for all residents.”
