Post Traumatic Growth – in Episode 25 Part 2

City of Miami Police Lieutenant Brandon Lanier speaks of the positive impact the “Struggle Well” training program has had on his personal life, family and career. It’s no secret the compounded stress and compounded trauma 1st Responders and military personal experience on the job and duty assignments are taxing on human beings.

Unfortunately, many of our public servants go years and often entire careers without confronting these demons chipping away their lives. Fortunately, Lt. Lanier and many colleagues are now experiencing post-traumatic growth via the help of this program sponsored by the Boulder Crest Foundation. As Lt. Lanier states “it’s OK to struggle”.. He struggles well.. and hopes his fellow police officers, 1st Responders, veterans and anyone viewing this video will “struggle well too” as employing the concepts of the “Struggle Well” program have made him a better family member and in turn a better law enforcement officer.

“Struggle Well’ is a prevention-focused program based on the science of Posttraumatic Growth. By partnering with first responder agencies and active serving military units, Struggle Well class facilitators are fundamentally changing the culture from the inside-out.

The Struggle Well programs is FREE to active and retired 1st Responder, Dispatchers, Front Line support personnel and Military Veterans.
